Far Cry 6 takes place in the sprawling island country of Yara. Emphasis on the word ‘sprawling.’ Traversal is unarguably one of the most time-consuming obstacles players will face when playing Far Cry 6. Players eventually have the choice to fast travel or use their wingsuit to get to where they need to go, but finding a good way to ride around Yara is vital to experiencing its beauty.

Deciding which vehicle to use can be overwhelming. Far Cry 6 has an enormous variety of vehicles to choose from, and which vehicle best suits a player’s playstyle may differ from person to person, but it wouldn’t be a modern Far Cry game if you couldn’t fly around causing havoc in a helicopter.

Updated August 8th, 2022, by Stephen LaGioia: Ubisoft’s latest game in the esteemed Far Cry series has continued to impress—with its cinematic, story-driven plot, dynamic open-world, and heart-pumping gameplay. Far Cry 6 draws from the series’ action-meets-stealth formula while upping the ante with new features and explosive action that stresses vehicular play.

With such a vast lineup of fun rides to play with—and FC6’s momentum chugging along with added DLC and events like the Stranger Things crossover—we decided to revisit this list of fast, strong, and otherwise awesome vehicles.

15 Mogote Zebra

The Mogote Zebra may not be the fastest or toughest vehicle choice, but who doesn’t want to ride around on an exotic animal? There are no offensive or defensive perks to the Zebra, but players can use a sidearm gun or melee weapon while riding, so that’s at least a plus.

The Mogote Zebra is one of the horse variants available in the game and can be obtained during story progression, specifically upon finishing Break the Chains mission. The Mogote Zebra is one of Anton Castillo’s prized possessions, so stealing it for personal use may bring some enjoyment.

14 Croco Taxi

The Croco Taxi is one of the sillier vehicles in Far Cry 6. What the Croco Taxi lacks in speed and overall usefulness, it makes up for in brilliance. It’s a giant crocodile head. And a small taxi. There isn’t much more to be said about how cool this vehicle is, but it is amusingly unique.

Players can find the Croco Taxi at a few different locations around the map, sometimes around the coasts of Esperanza.

13 1956 Beaumont Valentina

The 1956 Beaumont Valentina will be the first car that many players come across in Far Cry 6. The Valentina is one of the most weapon-heavy rides; with choices of offensive turrets and rams and defensive traps, this vehicle will keep players well-protected while they travel through Yara.

This vehicle can be called using an in-game scroll wheel and will be delivered to the player anywhere in Yara, making it one of the more convenient vehicle options.

12 1962 Verrazzano Bravo

The 1962 Verrazzano Bravo is one of the more customizable cars in Far Cry 6. This car has ample speed and offensive capabilities. The Verrazzano Bravo can be scanned when found throughout Yara or dropped off at a vehicle pickup point for later recall.

This car can also be obtained as a reward for completing a Gran Premio Race found in Valle De Oro. The Gran Premio Races are one of the many side quests in Far Cry 6 that shouldn’t be skipped, as the rewards can be anything from vehicles to weapon modifications.

11 Unicorn

Besting even the zebra for the most graceful, majestic transport in the game, the Unicorn is a visually fun, amusing ride, to say the least. This mythical creature is naturally not easy to obtain, as players need to tackle the fairly involved Sweet Fifteen Treasure Hunt located in El Este.

Unfortunately, this mythical horse is not able to fly, shoot rainbows from its horn—or really do anything outside the ordinary. No, this one is mostly just for bragging rights and the sheer novelty of being able to say one has ridden a unicorn in an action-shooter.

10 Omega Enforcer

Given the wild, action-packed ride that Far Cry 6 can be, it’s important to have a sturdy, stable vehicle that can be a defensive and offensive presence. These are all areas in which this heavy-duty military-style truck excels.

This vehicle will make players a force to be reckoned with, especially when playing co-op. In this circumstance, the driver can easily plow through enemy units and vehicles, while another can wreak havoc with the strong turret affixed to the top of the truck. Players can gain access to this beast by purchasing the Blood Dragon Set.This content can be unlocked when completing the mission The Guerrilla.

9 Angelito FW Turbo

A compact car, aircraft, and grenade launcher all in one, this fast, versatile vehicle is ideal for Dani in countless scenarios. This is useful as players won’t often be able to predict what will happen in the dynamic, wild campaign of FC6. With the vehicle’s ability to take to the streets or skies ‘on the fly,’ players can more easily escape the heat from foes on the ground as well as more effectively dodge anti-aircraft guns.

To get this awesome ride, players must find one and take it to a vehicle or airplane pickup station or scan it with Dani’s handy phone. The areas that have this vehicle are Conjunto Guerilla Hideout in Valle de Oro, Guaracha in El Este, and (simpler but less likely to have it) the Revmira Supply Dock.

8 Salacia RHIB Z-600

Traveling by water can often be a safer, more effective means of travel in FC6 and at times is even required. Thus, having a swift, well-equipped boat at hand is useful, especially this turret-laced watercraft. Both the Gator and ‘MI’ variants are solid, but the latter is especially helpful, as it has a front machine gun and a machine gun turret. This makes it a great co-op option when at sea.

The best place to find this boat is to approach the boat dock that lies south of the Castillo Senora Tobacco Factory, near Costa Del Mar.

7 Senor Pinga

Tanks are usually a solid option when staving off onslaughts of attacks in FC6—especially when Dani’s able to answer back with offensives of their own. That’s where this awesome vehicle comes into play. The Pinga isn’t just a defensive powerhouse, it’s also a force on offense, being laced with a typical cannon, as well as a coaxial machine gun and a machine gun turret.

To get this military-style monster, players should complete the Yaran story ‘Heavy Metal’ within Madraguda.

6 Yami’s 2008 KAG TG

Yami’s 2008 KAG TG has heavy defense and speed and has mounted turrets on top of the vehicle that the player can use during fights. This battering ram of a car is able to plow through enemy barricades and cars with ease, which can be helpful when running from enemy vehicles.

Players will get this fast, robust truck after completing a mission for Yami, who runs Gran Premio races around Yara. Specifically, it’s a side quest called ‘Backseat Driver.’

5 1952 Kaumbat R-25 WSP

The 1952 Kaumbat R-25 WSP is an offensive helicopter that comes equipped with a machine gun. This vehicle is fast can take on both cars and other flying vehicles with ease. To fly this vehicle effectively, players should take out the anti-aircraft cannons in the area that they want to fly in, as they can be a real pain in the side when using airborne vehicles.

The Kaumbat helicopter can usually be found around Yara, usually near FND bases or airports. Once scanned or brought back to a vehicle pickup point, players will be able to call on this helicopter from any helicopter pickup location.

4 1956 Beaumont “El Presidente”

The 1956 Beaumont “El Presidente” is a ride originally belonging to El Presidente Anton Castillo himself. Stealing things from Castillo is a recurring theme throughout Far Cry 6, but “El Presidente” is one of the cooler items the player will get. This vehicle does not have any offensive or defensive capabilities, but it’s pretty to look at!

The player can commandeer this antique of a car during story progression. After a fight with Castillo’s Army, the player will be able to get away with Castillo’s personal car. It can be scored after finishing the Paradise Lost Operation in Esperanza. Driving around in Anton’s luxurious Beaumont makes the player feel like a real dictator.

3 1946 Adjudicor LA-240 CE

The 1946 Adjudicor LA-240 CE has high defense and loads of firepower. With a side machine gun, a rocket launcher, and a machine gun turret at its disposal, this vehicle is one of the most efficient ways to take on enemies.

This plane can be found around the map, usually at FND bases or at airports around Yara. The player can unlock this vehicle by scanning it with their in-game camera or taking it to a vehicle dropoff point.

2 1944 Petrov HS-100 “Karlito”

There are many tanks players can use to wreak havoc in FC6, but none are quite as special as ‘Karlito.’ This tank comes with the standard machine gun and cannon but also has a deadly flamethrower. The defensiveness of this vehicle also allows for safe travel in areas with heavy enemy presence. The biggest perk of this vehicle is its durability and firepower. There are few opponents that can last long against this stout, fiery tank.

This tank can be obtained by progressing in the main story and will be driveable after completing a short firefight with El Tigre in the El Este region of Yara. This occurs at Fort Fontana as part of the Harpoon Operation.

1 Avispa Buzzer

While the Avispa Buzzer lacks the armor or durability that comes with a plane, or even a helicopter, its maneuverability and speed make it a top-tier air vehicle and the best all-around vehicle to use in one’s travels around Yara. This enjoyable ride can traverse the skies and the water, allowing players to quickly get around the different areas of Yara with efficiency.

One of the neatest aspects of this one is that, despite being one of the fastest, most useful transports, it can be obtained fairly early in the game. Upon hitting the mainland, simply go to the Guerrilla Hideout in Sierra Perdida in the western region. The Avispa Buzzer can also often be found near Hideout Network bases and, once scanned, can be recalled from any helicopter pickup point.

Far Cry 6 is available now for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Windows, Stadia, and Luna.
