League of Legends Wild Rift has much diversity in its class selection. However, in this article, Mages will be the focus. Mages are Champions that deal Magic Damage using Ability Power and usually have long ranged AOE (Area of Effect) abilities accompanied by burst damage. This allows most Mages to be extremely effective in team fights, by damaging entire enemy teams with their abilities or swiftly taking out priority targets with ease.
Ability Power is also crucial to multiple team compositions because most champions deal Physical Damage. Enemy Tanks can just stack a lot of Armor to shut down Physical Damage based compositions but having a Mage in the team will have enemies second-guessing which defensive items to buy.
10 Veigar
Veigar is a Mage that excels at single target burst damage and disrupting enemies’ position. Veigar’s Passive ability provided him with bonus Ability Power whenever he kills something with his Q ability. The longer the duration of the game, the more useful this Passive becomes.
9 Aurelion Sol
Aurelion Sol is a Mage that specializes in roaming throughout the map and dealing consistent Magic Damage. His Passive ability is his main source of damage, which are the stars spinning around him that deal Magic Damage each time it collides with an enemy.
8 Lux
Lux is a Mage that is exceptional at catching out targets and eliminating them in one combination of abilities. Her Passive ability marks enemies that are hit by her other damaging abilities, making her deal extra Magic Damage with auto-attacks.
7 Seraphine
Seraphine is a Mage that is great at locking down multiple enemies with CC (Crowd Control) and dealing AOE Magic Damage. Her Passive ability makes her have an increased Attack Range and deal additional damage with her auto attacks after using an ability. Also, every third ability will be used twice in quick succession.
6 Brand
Brand is a Mage that specializes in dealing AOE burst damage. His Passive ability deals Maximum Health Percentage damage whenever enemies are hit by his abilities, and once three stacks are reached, there is a small explosion and extra damage dealt with true sight applied to the target. Enemies that are marked by this Passive will also enhance Brand’s other abilities.
5 Twisted Fate
Twisted Fate is an amazing Mage at having a consistent form of CC and great map pressure. His Passive ability grants him bonus gold whenever he kills an enemy unit.
4 Morgana
Morgana is a Mage that deals a bunch of AOE DOT (Damage over Time), negates CC, and is great at catching enemies out. Her Passive ability heals her when she damages enemy champions or monsters.
3 Ahri
Ahri is a Mage that has an incredible amount of Mobility and burst Magic Damage. Her Passive ability gives her self-healing when she uses a certain amount of abilities.
2 Ziggs
Ziggs is a Mage that excels at controlling spaces of terrain and poking consistently with Magic Damage. His Passive ability makes his auto attacks occasionally deal additional Magic Damage.
1 Orianna
Orianna is a Mage that has a lot of utility alongside AOE Damage and DPS (Damage Per Second). Her Passive ability makes her auto attacks deal additional Magic Damage that increases after each consecutive auto-attack on the same target.
