BBC is one of the most famous television networks on the planet with millions of viewers worldwide. It has several channels, one of which is BBC Three.
Sharing time with CBBC, BBC Three was relaunched a few days ago and is on-air regularly from 7 PM to 4 AM. It is available to watch on Freeview, Sky, Virgin, iPlayer, and Freesat.
But BBC Three viewers are now reporting (1,2,3,4,5) that the channel is not working on their Sky Q Mini box.
Whenever subscribers try to tune in to BBC Three HD (channel 117), they get an error message saying ‘Please check your subscription entitles you to view this channel on this box. Otherwise, if you’re using this box for the first time, please wait a few minutes.’
Users have already tried restarting the Sky Q Mini box and the main Sky Q box but it is not helping. You can see in the image below what the error message looks like.
Thankfully, Sky Help Team has acknowledged the issue where BBC Three is not working on the Sky Q Mini box and said that it is currently under investigation. However, they did not share any ETA on when it will be fixed.
In the meantime, those affected by the issue can tune into BBC Three SD on channel 845. But if you own a TV with a big screen, the SD channel might be unwatchable for some.
That being said, we will be keeping an eye out on the matter and update this space as and when we come across new information so make sure you stay tuned.
