The latest installment in the beloved Battlefield franchise seems to be making a statement. Ever since its release in November last year, Battlefield 2042 has shown everything that can go wrong with a video game.

From keyboard and mouse input bugs to crashes to developers removing core features such as in-game voice chat and scoreboard, everything EA does seems to be worsening the state of the game.

Things have gotten so bad that EA is reportedly thinking of making the game free to play, thanks to poor performance and negative feedback on Steam.

And if you thought things were going to get better, DICE removed the Zombies Mode just a day after adding it to the game. In case you don’t know, many were using the game mode to farm XP.

Battlefield 2042 players have had mixed reactions (1,2,3,4,5) after EA decided to remove the community-made Zombie Survival mode.

While some players believe that the developers did the right thing by removing it because the mode was boring, others said that they were happy since it granted a ton of XP. Here is what some players have to say on the matter.

In case you are someone who bought the game and played for hours on end just to get XP, you might feel bad, but was useful for those who just bought the game.

It is interesting to note that the Zombie Survival mode is now replaced by Gun Master 2042.

We hope EA and DICE find a middle ground by balancing the XP players are getting in the Zombie survival mode and bring it back in the coming days since it is quite popular amongst many.

If and when they do, we will let you know so keep checking this space for updates.
