As in other similar games, Battlefield 2042 has multiple types of specialists to choose from. But, some players are experiencing difficulties when encountering one in particular: the Specialist Sundance.
To be more specific, the problem is reportedly happening to players that use a Radeon VII GPU. Basically, when they come across a player using Specialist Sundance, Battlefield 2042 crashes due to a GPU related bug:
According to reports, the game crashes in any game mode when the condition is met. It happens anytime the Specialist Sundance appears on-screen.

This includes situations like third person view (after death) and post-game screen.
EA is already aware of the issue
EA’s support team responded to reports from some users. They confirmed that they are already aware of the problem, and it is under investigation.
However, there is still no information on an estimated date for the arrival of a fix.
