New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on Ocotober 05, 2021) follows:
Developed by DICE and built using the Frostbite engine, Battlefield 2042 is an upcoming video game in the long-running Battlefield franchise.
The first-person shooter is scheduled to be released on November 19 this year and is the first Battlefield game with no single-player campaign mode.
Moreover, Battlefield 2042 will also be the first title in the series to support cross-platform gameplay. The game is set in the near future and supports a massive lobby that can handle up to 128 players, ensuring constant gunfight and utter chaos.
The game also features destructible environments combined with dynamic storms and natural hazards. Having said that, EA said they would give access to players who have pre-ordered the game.
But it looks like players are having issues pre-loading the game. Recent user reports indicate that many are unable to pre-load Battlefield 2042 beta.
Some say that even though they were able to download the game, they haven’t received the beta code. Gamers are wondering what they need to do in order to download the beta and get the code.
As it turns out, those who ordered using EA Play will automatically get Beta access to the game without the need for a code.
The Battlefield 2042 beta will go live on October 6 at 07:00 UTC with general access starting October 8. Before the beta goes live, make sure to pre-load the game so you can start playing right away.
Update 1 (October 06)
03:24 pm (IST): In a recent tweet, EA support confirmed that they cleared up the problem that was preventing players from pre-loading Battlefield 2042 in Origin.
In case it still isn’t working for some reason, they recommended clearing the cache from Origin and trying again.
Update 2 (October 07)
01:24 pm (IST): The makers of Battlefield 2042 now note that multiple fixes have gone live. As such, this shouldn’t be a trouble for players anymore.
