Today is an auspicious day of Diwali, as it is being celebrated all around the globe. Diwali is a prominent Hindu, Jains, Sikh, and Buddhist festival celebrated by Hindus, Jains, Sikhs, and certain Buddhists, particularly Newar Buddhists. The festival is held during the Hindu lunisolar month Kartika and normally lasts five days.

However, a twist happened after a tweet of Disha patani, where she wished everyone a happy Diwali with a message of being kind to animals. However, this didn’t go well with the Twitter users. As some were trending bakrid along with it. Users started throwing numbers that how many animals are slaughtered during bakrid.

Each day 200 million animals are slaughtered on this Planet. If you are an animal-loving, ecologically sensitive Human Being, you should cut daily meat consumption.Specially on Bakrid 😊🤗 pic.twitter.com/Yoc2VYgk67
