Back 4 Blood is an online multiplayer survival game that is often referred to as the spiritual successor to the celebrated Left 4 Dead series.
Developed by Turtle Rock Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, the game was released in October 2021. It takes inspiration from Left 4 Dead and improves on various aspects such as visuals.
Last month, players said that they were getting a Microsoft Store Game Pass error . Now, Back 4 Blood players are reporting that they are experiencing ghost bullets.
Many say that nothing comes out when shooting a bullet. There is no sound and damage but the gun recoils with the game registering that a bullet is consumed.
Some say that they experienced it since launch while others say it has amplified after the December update. Players suggest that ghost bullets are most noticeable on single-shot guns such as revolvers and shotguns when playing on high latency.
This is really frustrating, especially if you are surrounded by a zombie horde with low health or ammo and the shot doing no damage.
Thankfully, it looks like Turtle Rock Studios is aware of Back 4 Blood ghost bullets. On their Trello board, the bug is labeled as “High Priority” with a comment suggesting that a fix won’t be coming this year.
We hope the developers fix it after the holidays since it is ruining the gameplay experience for many.
