Nintendo held a live-streamed indie presentation today to announce several new indie games that are coming to the Nintendo Switch. During this showcase, Mexican developer Lienzo (creators of Mulaka) announced a brand-new action-adventure game titled “Aztech: Forgotten Gods.”

Aztech: Forgotten Gods plans to combine thrilling action gameplay with a poignant narrative inspired by Mexican culture. In the trailer that was revealed during Nintendo’s indie showcase, it shows the main protagonist fighting off against a ton of different enemies and boss-type enemies that are literally gods.

The game’s cel-shaded art style certainly fits right at home on the Nintendo Switch and it seems that the graphics aren’t pushing any boundaries, so hopefully the game runs well on the hybrid console. It also turns out that the title is coming to other platforms besides Switch and will launch later this year.

Also announced during the indie-focused broadcast was a sequel to the critically acclaimed supernatural adventure thriller, Oxenfree. Oxenfree 2: Lost Signals will launch on PC and Switch later this year and will again have a 2D perspective with lots of creepy twists and turns. The story will follow a new character named Riley and takes place five years after the events of the first game.

Aztech: Forgotten Gods will launch on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S in the fall of 2021.
