It’s raining new software updates for multiple Samsung, Xiaomi/Redmi, and Asus smartphones in various parts of the globe.
Some devices will be upgraded to the latest February 2020 security patch level following this firmware update while others will only manage to get to last month’s security patch level. No matter the patch level, these are the updates you shouldn’t ignore whatsoever.
AT&T is rolling out the latest February security patch to the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. The device has already been updated to Android 10 on the carrier, so this becomes the first software update into the new One UI 2.0 era.
Samsung Galaxy Note 9 & Galaxy A6 updates
The Galaxy Note 9 One UI 2.0 update arrived on AT&T with January security patches included and now the build version is being bumped to DTB1, up from DTA5.
Although the Galaxy A6 2018 is also expected to receive Android 10 this coming Q2 2020, folks on Sprint can only make do with the latest February security patches based on Android Pie.
The OTA package should hit your model SM-A600P as software version A600PVPS6BTB2.
Outside the U.S., multiple Redmi devices are receiving new software updates across India, Europe, and the rest of the globe. The updates tag along new, although not necessarily the latest, security updates and a fair share of bug fixes and optimizations.
Redmi 8, Redmi K20 & Redmi Note 8T updates
Redmi K20
The Redmi K20 is receiving a new update in India as MIUI 11.0.2.0.QFJINXM, up from the previous version V11.0.1.0.QFJINXM that first brought Android 10 to the device but then halted for some reason.
In addition to installing the new OS for those coming from Pie, the update also bumps the security patch level to January 2020, fixes an issue where images overlapped in scrolling screenshots, and so on. Below is the summarized changelog:
