Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, the latest installment in the hit series, is in the middle of the ‘Yule Festival‘, the game’s second annual event.
The Yule Festival comes as a free update and adds new content in the form of missions and items, so that players can continue to expand their experience.
But, it seems that the event is not working properly. According to multiple reports, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Yule Festival is not loading or appearing for many (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6).
In addition to the above, for those players who can play the event, there are some bugs that affect the items available or acquired.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Yule Festival not loading or appearing
Many Assassin’s Creed Valhalla players are having trouble with the event. One of the reported bugs affects the availability of the items or weapons.
The Yule Festival should bring a nice set of new items. But, some players are finding practically the same items that they could already buy before the event arrives.
Even, for some, instead of appearing the items from the new festival, the ones from last year appear available.
I logged in to do the usual festival only to find, I can’t not only do i find that its the same stuff as yesterday apart for some rubbish looking hairs I find it doesn’t work.
After the okay story dlc with kassandra how come they can’t get festivals to work? Are they too busy doing something else? Source
But, those who can buy new sets or renewed versions of their sets have no better luck. Some report that, if they buy the new set, the current set will receive a downgrade.
Hi, i got a question, last year i got this set including the seax (dagger) this year the festival vendor offers the same set, anybody else experiencing this? instead of the dagger theres now a hunting bow, rest seems the same. Source
Finally, other players report that the event is not even available on their game.
Ubisoft is aware of the issues
The Ubisoft support team confirmed that they are already aware of the reported issues with the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Yule Festival. Currently, is under investigation.
Therefore, it only remains to wait for new official announcements about an ETA for the fix. When that happens, we will update this article with the relevant information.
Update (December 21)
Assassin’s Creed developers now say that they’re working to resolve the issue preventing players from accessing the Yule Festival.
They add that they will be extending the event so everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the winter festivities. A fix is slated for January.
Update (December 28)
Ubisoft confirms that the issue where players are not getting the Yule festival will be resolved in the future update. Moreover, they also mentioned that loading an earlier save can help those affected gamers.
Update (January 06)
Assasin’s Creed on Twitter confirmed that they will release Title Update 1.4.1.2 on January 06 to resolve the issue which is blocking players from progressing in the Yule Festival.
