Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla arrived in 2020 as the latest installment in Ubisoft’s successful saga of action-adventure games.
Valhalla has continued to be supported by Ubisoft with new content and events. However, there are also certain issues that have been present since its release without a fix.
One of the most recurring complaints from Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla players is the low audio quality issue. For those who hoped for a future solution, there is bad news.
Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla low audio quality issue
Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla low audio quality is a common topic of discussion among its players. In-game audio seems to feel muffled, lacking in nuance, or flat (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9).
The issue is especially noticeable during dialogues, where even the volume is uneven. That is, the voice of some characters is very loud compared to that of others in the same dialogue.
There have been reports of poor audio quality in Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla for at least a year.
So I’m a long time AC fan and I’ve played almost every entry so far (except for unity which I plan to play). Almost every title, especially the newer ones have a huge issue and that is the sheer amount of bad Audio quality. Every other game I play has a very good audio quality or HD quality rather and then there are the AC games.. This is most evident in AC Valhalla where dialogue and the audio in general is grainy, low quality and pretty bad. Source
Also, there is no workaround to help mitigate the situation, so the issue negatively impacts immersion permanently.
Ubisoft won’t fix Assassin’s Creed Valhalla low quality audio
Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla players have been waiting for a fix for the audio issues for a long time. However, Ubisoft has confirmed the worst possible news about it.
According to the company, it is impossible to resolve the game’s audio issues because it would require ‘an overhaul of the entire audio system from the ground’.
So, unfortunately, Valhalla players will have to get used to the current game state in the audio section.
