New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on March 15, 2022) follows:

Ubisoft released Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla in late 2020 as the latest installment in the successful saga. As the name suggests, the game is set in Norse mythology.

The Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla world is full of elements drawn directly from Norse mythology. For instance, you can face the Jotun Warriors, a race of frost giants who opposed the gods.

However, some Assassin’s Creed Valhalla players have been facing an issue where they are unable to attack Jotun Warriors as the game recognizes them as friendly characters (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7).

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla players unable to attack Jotun Warriors

According to multiple reports, when some Assassin’s Creed Valhalla players try to attack Jotun Warriors, their weapons pass through them as if they were friendly characters or NPCs instead of enemies.

Apparently, only some specific abilities are currently dealing damage to Jotun Warriors.

In my game every time I try to hit them, my weapon goes right through them as if the are ghosts, and they don’t see me either, it’s like I’m invisible to them. Source

So, as a workaround you can try to attack them using Power of Muspelheim or the Power of Jotunheim abilities.

If the above doesn’t work for you, you can also try clearing the riddle “Pit of Slaughter” in Jotunheim. After doing that, the Jotun Warriors become hostile again, according to reports.

I also reported this issue to support on friday and they said they working on it. Source

The Ubisoft team is already aware

Ubisoft confirmed that they are aware of the issue and are investigating. However, there are no details yet on an ETA for a fix.

This story will be updated with new related developments that arise in the future.
