Arthdal Chronicles, the popular South Korean mythical world drama, will return for a second season. Arthdal Chronicles Season 2 was originally scheduled to begin immediately following the conclusion of the first season; however, due to the pandemic, all of the programs were jumbled. The good news is that filming for the much-anticipated series began on August 22.

According to reports, Season 2 of Arthdal Chronicles will be shot in Gyeonggi-do. However, due to the unprecedented rainfall in and around Seoul, the plan has been postponed for a week.

Previously, it was revealed that the first script reading session for Season 2  of Arthdal Chronicles was held with the series’ cast members. The program featured Lee JoonGi, Shin Se Kyung, Jang Dong Gun, and Kim Ok Vin, among others.

Song Joong Ki and Kim Ji Won originally starred in the K-drama. However, in Arthdal Chronicles 2, actors Lee Joon-gi and Shin Se Kyung replaced them as protagonists Song Joong Ki and Kim Ji Won, respectively. In Season 1, Song Joong Ki played twins Eun Seom and Saya, while Kim Ji Won played Tanya.

According to a Joy News report from August, Lee JoonGi and Shin Se Kyung were spotted at the first table reading for season 2 of Arthdal Chronicles on August 6.

Studio Dragon announced in February 2022 that the second sequel to Arthdal Chronicles would be released in early 2023, along with a webtoon and an MMORPG. Season 2 will be written by Kim Young Hyun and Park Sang Yeon, and directed by Kim Kwang Sik, who directed The Great Battle.

Who will be in the cast of Arthdal Chronicles Season 2

Except for Song Joong Ki and Kim Ji Won, most of the other cast members, such as Jang Dong Gun and Kim Ok Vin, will reprise their roles as Tagon and Tae Al Ha in Arthdal Chronicles season 2. Kim Ok-bin announced her return to viewers via Instagram in February.
