The makers of Arshad Warsi’s forthcoming film, ‘Banda Singh,’ have revealed the first poster for the film, which also stars Meher Vij. Arshad said he was smitten by the screenplay. ‘Banda Singh’ is a true-life survival story of a man and his family located in north India. Abhishek Saxena of ‘Phullu’ fame is in charge of the project.
“I fell in love with the writing,” Arshad remarked, “and I’m sure you’ll all fall in love with the picture.”
Manish Mishra of Seamless Productions LLP produced it, while Abhishek Saxena of Ambi Abhi Productions co-produced it. Shaheen Iqbal wrote the script, and Shaheen Iqbal and Abhishek Saxena wrote the screenplay. It will be installed on floors around mid-November.
Meher continued, ” “This is a script that has a special place in my heart. I feel fortunate to have been considered for this fantastic assignment, and working alongside the incredibly talented Arshad Warsi is the icing on the cake.”
Abhishek Saxena, director, and co-producer revealed that he had been seeking a story like this to direct for a long time “‘Phullu’ and ‘Saroj Ka Rishta,’ for example, dealt with social themes, while ‘Banda Singh’ is about survival. I’m very excited to be on set with Arshad, Meher, and the rest of the cast and crew.”
Producer Manish Mishra says it took him “just (a) few seconds” to believe the story when he first heard it.
“After ‘Phullu,’ myself and Abhishek have paired up again for ‘Banda Singh,’ which is based on true events, and I feel that this unwritten storey deserves to be told,” said writer Shaheen Iqbal.
