Released in 2019, Apex Legends is one of the most popular Battle Royale titles of all time. Played by millions worldwide, the game is currently in its 12th season.

But ever since the start of the latest season in February this year, players have reported several bugs and issues such as getting stuck on the loading screen with error 429 and slow download speeds on Steam.

And as if these weren’t troubling enough, Apex Legends players are now saying (1,2,3,4,5) that the bug with Octane jump pad where it does not launch them into the air still persists.

Since he is one of the most picked legends in the game, many are frustrated because his kit is not working properly. As a result, Octane mains are now picking other legends, diminishing his popularity this season.

Some suggest that the issue surfaced after the start of Season 12 called Defiance. Here are reports from Apex Legends players who were playing Octane and were affected by the jump pad bug.

With reports dating back to a month, it looks like the issue has been affecting players for quite some time now. Unfortunately, Apex Legends developers are yet to acknowledge the issue, let alone work on a fix.

However, we did come across a temporary workaround that might help you get out of sticky situations in case you are unable to jump from the jump pad. Some players say that instead of running up to the jump pad, you should try jumping on top of it.

We hope the developers patch the bug in an upcoming update so players can enjoy picking the legend once again. If and when they do, we will update this space to reflect the same so stay tuned.
