Apex Legends Mobile game was launched in May , 2022 last year . This game was made by Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts . The game is available for platforms like Android , iOS and also received positive reviews for it’s smooth gameplay and design . EA has now announced in a recent blog post that they will be shutting down the game on May 1 , 2023 . Respawn Entertainment also mentioned about the shut down in their tweet today.

The reason behind this decision of shutting down as mentioned by EA and Respawn Entertainment was falling short of quality , quantity and cadence . Apex Legends Mobile is going to be one of the quickest EA games to be shut down . In the blog post EA mentioned , “ Following a strong start , the content pipeline for Apex Legends Mobile has begun to fall short of that bar for quality , quantity and cadence . It is for this reason , after months of working with our developing partner , that we have made the mutual decision to sunset our mobile game .”
Also EA informed that the players will have a 90-day window to enjoy the game as it’s shut down on May 1 , 2023 They also made it clear in their blog that as of 1 PM January 31st they will be disabling all real money in app purchases in the game as well as will remove the game from web stores .
On May 1 , 2023 , the game will stop it’s operations and won’t exist . This announcement came as a shock to many mobile gamers . Though the developers assured the players that Respawn and Apex Legends team will remain committed to mobile as a platform and will look forward to explore new opportunities in order to serve players in future.
