Electronics Arts launched Apex Legends in early 2019 as a battle-royale game looking to take on other big names in the segment like Fortnite.
Apex Legends differs from other similar games thanks to its FPS camera and its setting in the Titanfall universe. The game is available for free, so you can try it without spending any money.
Apex Legends gameplay mechanics also includes a ‘Hero-Shooter’ approach as the characters have unique abilities that you must take advantage of to be the last survivor.
That said, currently Apex Legends players are facing issues like missing Twitch drops and network packet loss (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12).
Apex Legends missing Twitch drops issue
Sometimes Apex Legends developers offer rewards to players through Twitch drops. For that, players must connect their EA accounts to the PlayApex Twitch channel and watch streams for a certain amount of time.
However, many players report that their Apex Legends Twitch drops are missing for no apparent reason (1, 2, 3).
That said, the Apex Legends team is already aware of the issue and is investigating. But, there are no details on an ETA for a fix yet.
2 months ago, I connected my ea account to the following playapex twitch channel watched the streams for the drops, claimed them and they are no where to be found.
I disconnected the twitch drops for my ea account in hopes i could just reconnect it right then and there but the option and ea header disappears completely. The channel hasn’t had any drops since or if so I’ve missed the chance to reconnect it. Source
So i re-download the game to play again with a couple of friends and noticed I was missing my pathfinder skin from a twitch drop, I can’t recall the name exactly but it was a purple and black skin. Just wondering if it’s gone for good or if there’s a way to get it back. Source
Apex Legends network packet loss issues
Apex Legends players are also experiencing packet loss that directly affects matches. Packet loss causes network related issues like constant freezing/stuttering during gameplay (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8).
There is still no official acknowledgment on this last issue from the developers. We will update this story once new details emerge on the matter.
hello, sadly i am telekom customer and normally i would get massive packet loss (around 50%) every 3-4 games. But since the end of control ltm the packet loss is almost gone. maybe every tenth game but only around 1-10% loss.
So i am pretty sure someone, maybe the devs, changed something but it introduced massive no regs. or maybe not? i am not sure anymore. Source
Since the hotfix i’m having a lot of packet loss playing in NA server, i can play on Europe with 200ms without having any packet loss, but here i have matches with 10 to 79% of loss…. this is happening just with me ? Source
