Events in Apex Legends celebrate various occasions with exclusive rewards, such as cosmetics and collectibles. For players to earn these rewards, they often must complete several challenges in three different modes available in Apex Legends. Those rewards are usually time-limited and tied to the events, meaning once the event expires - those cosmetics and collectibles are likely never to be available again. This guide explores all possibilities to obtain the rewards available for the Third Anniversary Event of Apex Legends in 2022.

Compared to last year’s anniversary event, this year’s rewards feel less visually exclusive; however, quantity surpassed the quality, meaning there are plenty of rewards for players to choose from and focus on. It is worth mentioning that the notable rewards of this year’s anniversary event were created by the community members of Apex Legends, which shall be explored a bit more later on in the guide. With some major changes in season 12 of Apex Legends, obtaining those rewards will prove challenging yet exciting for the fans.

Event Prize Tracker Guide

Event Prize Tracker is an available tracker for players’ progress throughout the event. This tracker includes both progress for three event badges and 22 event rewards. There are 5000 points a player can earn to obtain all available rewards. Apart from the available rewards, Apex Legends also gives out free rewards to players this month for simply logging in during specific dates.

To achieve those 5000 points, players must complete five daily event challenges. Each challenge awards from 100 to 200 points, allowing players to easily earn 7,000 to 14,000 points in the duration of the event, which is 14 days in total (till March 1).

However, earning additional points does not reward players with anything; it simply allows them to stressless-ly earn all available rewards in the duration of the event without having to struggle too much with a limited amount of points to achieve. Rewards in the tracker are various, ranging from character and weapon skins to rare and exclusive packs.

Epic Holosprays

  • Joyeux Anniversaire We’re Better Together

Epic Weapon Skins

  • Crackling Surge (Rampage) Aftershock Wave (R-301)

Rare Loudout Arts

  • Fragment Bamwoozle

Epic Weapon Charms

  • Time Capsule Cheers Three Cheers Cuffed Cub

Epic Character Skins

  • Sun Bleached (Wraith) Real MVP (Octane)

Progressing through this tracker will also reward players with epic and exclusive packs, containing all collectibles available in Apex Legends inside and outside this event. While Rare Packs have a 100% chance of a Rare Reward, 24.8% Epic Reward, 7.4% Legendary Reward, exclusive packs, or Event Packs give players a 50% on 50% chance for at least one item to be a Legendary and another an Epic Reward.

Event Badge Guide

While players automatically get an anniversary badge simply by logging in during the event, there are four badges only rewarded to those who complete badge-specific challenges. Those challenges are separated into two game modes, Battle Royale and Control. Control is a challenging new time-limited mode in Apex Legends, which arrived this season alongside Mad Maggie, a new playable character. These badges then are usable with any available characters on their banners.

Control Enthusiast

  • Capture 100 objectives in Control during the Anniversary event.

Battle Royale Damage Dealer

  • Deal 10,000 damage to enemy players in Battle Royale during the Anniversary event.

Knock Down Champion

  • Knock down 100 players in Battle Royale during the Anniversary event.

Anniversary Event Master

  • Earn all other Anniversary badges.

These challenges do not extend to the Arenas, suggesting players focus strictly on the objectives mentioned above in the Battle Royale and Control modes. Some of these challenges may seem stretchy and lengthy, but that’s only because they are.

Picking up the best weapons available in Apex Legends: Defiance will allow players to quickly reach the needed numbers to obtain event badges. Completing these challenges may prove to be far more fun in cooperative gameplay with friends. During the event, the waiting queue for the game to begin is significantly reduced compared to any other day outside the in-game events.

Event Collection Pack Guide

Event Collection Pack includes another set of time-limited cosmetics, most of which are character skins, alongside a few holosprays and weapon skins. 12 Epic and 12 Legendary rewards, out of which 14 are character skins, six weapon skins, and four holosprays.

Players can unlock these rewards by purchasing Anniversary Collection Packs, 600 Apex Coins each (5,99 USD), which will then have a 50% chance to spawn a Legendary Item and a 50% chance to spawn an Epic Item. However, if players are interested in a specific collectible (since the packs unlock rewards at random), they can obtain it by unlocking any selected collectible with 1000 Apex Coins (9,99 USD) or 800 Crafting Metals in case of an Epic Item, and with 1800 Apex Coins (17,99 USD) or 2400 Crafting Metals for a Legendary Item.

Character Skins

  • Violet Veteran (Bangalore) Air Orchid (Valkyrie) Blood and Plunder (Mad Maggie) Dread Navigator (Bloodhound) Lit Witt (Mirage) Thunder Kitty (Wattson) No Chill (Revenant) Golden Guardian (Gibraltar) Eye of the Beholder (Wingman)

Weapon Skins

  • Multitool (R-99) Tech Noir (Volt) The Drip (R-301)

The event store will also feature some selected character skins for a discount only for a few days. No guarantee is given when those character skins will be available in the store, except some time while the event is active between February 15 to March 1.

Unlocking all the above-listed items rewards a player with a Prestige Skin for Bloodhound. This Prestige Skin is currently undergoing a bug in Apex Legends, which the community does not appreciate, especially considering the requirement to obtain this skin.

Third Anniversary Event Conclusions

The Third Anniversary Event of Apex Legends can certainly overwhelm a player with an abundance of rewards, which is why it can be useful to focus on specific rewards due to the time limitation. Going through the daily event challenges and simply enjoying Battle Royale and Control should be sufficient for any player to obtain most of the rewards the event offers, especially the ones the community has worked on together with the developers.

The community has appreciated Respawn Entertainment cooperating and integrating their ideas into the game. Squad Skins, Legendary Skins available as rewards during this event, were created by the players of the game, due to which the community is looking forward to further collaboration. Squad Skins are skins inspired by Crypto’s “Hypebeast,” Caustic’s “Blackheart,” and Loba’s “Purple Reign” Legendary Skins, which add another worthy reason for players to complete the listed challenges to earn these event-specific rewards.

As Apex Legends takes over the gaming industry as one of the leading battle royale games, events alike are designed to welcome new players and reward old ones with exclusive rewards, which can, later on, be used for cosmetic purposes.

Apex Legends is free-to-play on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch.
