Among Us is one of the most popular deception games of all time, taking the world by storm when it peaked in popularity in 2020. Since then, the game has evolved to include new maps and new roles for players to tinker with and keep the game fresh.

However, just like how it’s important to be a good imposter, it’s even more important to be a good crewmate. To do this, players need to know how to do specific tasks in the various rooms on each map. One room that appears in Among Us is the Electrical room, which will always have a couple of tasks in it regardless of the map.

5 Fix Wiring

If there is one task that could be considered iconic, it is the “Fix Wiring” task that is among the most common in the game. The Electrical room is used for this task in both The Skeld and Polus maps. If players need to go to the Electrical room to fix wiring, it will always be the first room of several that they have to do the task in.

When clicking on the wire panel, players will see four wires on each side of the screen. Players must drag these wires that match the color and/or symbol that is on the other side. Once completed, players will need to visit other rooms throughout the map that will continue the wire task.

4 Calibrate Distributor

While it does take a bit of patience, Calibrate Distributor is one of the more straightforward tasks to complete. The Electrical Room in both the Skeld and the Airship can have this task. It is the only task on this list that does not involve multiple stages.

Opening the Distributor up will reveal three nodes. Each node has an indicator and a connected wire. The goal is for the players to line up each indicator with the wire by pressing the button under the bar at the right time. This is done one node at a time and if the player messes up, they must start from the beginning of the task.

3 Divert Power

Another short task, the Divert Power task is availablein the Electrical Room on both The Skeld and Airship maps. The first stage will always take place in the Electrical Room, with the next stage taking place randomly in other parts of the map.

In the first stage, players will see a panel that has a row of switches and a monitor to indicate the traffic of electrical power. Players will notice that one of the sliders is lit. Push this one up and then go to the room that the electricity was sent to (indicate by symbols above each slider). In the next room, players will need to simply click on the fuse to complete the task.

2 Download Data

Another memorable task in Among Us is the Download and Upload Data tasks. The Electrical room is one of many rooms where a player can be asked to download data whereas uploading data always ends up being the same location per map. Specifically, the Electrical room can have this task on The Skeld or Polus.

Walking up to the screen in the room, players will be prompted to start the download. This just takes patience as the download progress bar slowly fills. At best, this can take eight seconds. Then, players must go to either the Admin room (The Skeld) or the Communications room (Polus) to upload the data, following the same directions.

1 Reset Breakers

The third-longest task in the game, Reset Breakers, has seven stages and is unique to The Airship. It involves attempting to navigate the Electrical room despite multiple doors blocking the way. This can be a frustrating task, as trying to maneuver between rooms is random each time, and being pulled away for a meeting can set players back.

That said, the task itself is rather simple. There are seven levers around the room with a number above each of them. Players must simply pull down each lever in the correct order. Pulling the wrong lever will cause the task to reset. Once all the levers are pulled in the correct order, the job is complete.

Among Us is available on iOS, Android, PC, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
