Among Us is a cross-platform survival game where you are required to prepare your spaceship with 4-15 online players in order to win.
It has always been quite popular because of its various exciting gameplay options like adding imposters or other customization features.
However, it’s currently facing some issues while loading especially on Switch consoles.
Among Us crashing on Nintendo Switch
Many Among Us players (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) have been reporting an issue where they are unable to play the game on Nintendo Switch due to constant crashes.
The game doesn’t go past the booting screen and gives a ‘The software was closed because an error occurred’ message.
It seems that the recent update (v2022.10.25) on Nintendo Switch broke the proper functionality of the game.
Those affected have tried restarting their consoles and reinstalling the game but to no avail.
Official acknowledgment
Fortunately, the issue where Among Us is crashing on Nintendo Switch has been acknowledged by the developers.
There is no temporary workaround at the moment so affected players will have to wait indefinitely for the team to come up with a fix.

Update 1 (November 14, 2022)
11:57 am (IST): Among Us support has announced that the crashing issue for Nintendo Switch players should be resolved after updating to v.2022.11.10.
